My back yard garden in full bloom. The Angel sitting guard over the garden was a gift from my Granddaughter several years ago. I started the painting over a year ago before my daughter passed away. It took me a while to get over her death till I could get back to painting. I finished the painting this past summer when the flowers were once again blooming. Now the Angel represents my daughter Vickie watching over the garden.
I grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As a child I studied art with the late Walter Baum, a well known Bucks County Artist. With raising a family and working, I had fallen away from painting but upon my retirement several years ago, I once again picked up the paint burshes. I studied art at the Baum School of Art in Allentown, PA and the Sharp School of Art in Los Angeles, CA. I recently did an art workshop in New Mexico with Morgan Samuel Price who is featured in the Artists Magazine. Most of my work is done in oils. I also work in acrylic and pastels.
